# Order Numbers from Least to Greatest

Hello, 2nd graders! Today, we’re going to learn how to put numbers in order from the **least** to the **greatest**. Let’s have some fun with numbers!

## What Does “Least to Greatest” Mean?

When we order numbers from least to greatest, we start with the **smallest** number and end with the **biggest** number. It’s like lining up your toys from the shortest to the tallest!

## How to Do It

To put numbers in order, look at each number and figure out which one is the smallest. That number goes first. Then, find the next smallest number, and so on!

### Example:

Let’s order these numbers: **25, 42, 16, 33**.

**Step 1:**Find the smallest number. It’s**16**.**Step 2:**The next smallest number is**25**.**Step 3:**Next comes**33**.**Step 4:**The biggest number is**42**.

So, the order from least to greatest is: **16, 25, 33, 42**.

## Time to Practice!

Now, try it on your own. Can you put these numbers in order from least to greatest?

**56, 12, 34, 78****99, 23, 45, 10****18, 37, 29, 61**
